Coastal Wildflower Day
Note: this event does not take place at Yerba Buena Nursery. See event website for details.

The 4th annual Coastal Wildflower Day marks both the start of California Native Plant Week and Earth Day, celebrating the native wildflowers of the San Mateo coast with a festival featuring activities for the whole family at Half Moon Bay State Beach.

There will be fun activities for all ages, including games and crafts for children, guided wildflower walks, and hands-on native plant restoration projects. If you want to combine service with your celebration, you can join an Earth Day restoration project at Dunes Beach. Volunteers will be given free parking passes, a light breakfast, and lunch.

Going Native Garden Tour
Note: this event does not take place at Yerba Buena Nursery. See event website for details.

A free self-guided tour of native gardens in Santa Clara Valley & Peninsula, San Francisco Bay Area.

Between 40 to 70 gardens, most of them private home gardens, are open on tour day for viewing by the public in a do-it-yourself, open house format. The goals of the tour are to demonstrate reduced water use, reduced chemical and pesticide use, improved habitat, and the unique aesthetic appeal of gardens designed with California native plants.

Visit www.GNGT.org for more information.
