This 4 to 6 foot tall perennial is a member of woodland and forest communities. Its light green columbine-like foliage makes a beautiful backdrop to smaller shade loving perennials such as Coral Bells and Iris. Herbaceous, it dies back to the groung each fall and reemerges larger each spring. Fairly drought tolerant once established, though it doesn't mind extra water. Dainty white flowers appear in spring. Deer resistant.
