Our most popular treelike manzanita, this adaptable, fast growing selection was made from a hybrid that occured in a garden in Portola Valley. 'Dr, Hurd' will reach about 15 feet tall and wide, with an open, upright form that shows off its sculptural maroon branches beautifully. Stunning when lit from beneath. White flowers in large clusters appear between January and March.
