Description:
This small shrub is a member of the desert communities of the southern part of the state. The foliage is silvery-white with a dense scrufy wool, and it exudes bubbles of resinous gum sometimes used in the past for incense, chewing gum, varnish and pain killers. The inflorescences which appear in summer sport yellow ray flowers and purple or brown disc flowers. In your garden, give it a hot, sunny, well-drained site.
