This is a water loving perennial with bright, lavender blue flowers. It is native to mossy seeps and rocky stream banks in southern California. In the garden it looks lovely with such shade-loving plants as Boykinia, Maidenhair Ferns, and Epipactis Orchids. Expect it to spread vigorously in a favorable situation. It is winter dormant, reappearing in the springtime.
