This tough, adaptable shrub is found around the Bay Area in dry habitats ranging from full sun to full shade. Small deep green foliage provides a nice contrast to the grays of so many chaparral plants. Stunning in fruit - hundreds of pea sized cherry red globes appear in summer, to the delight of birds. Be forewarned our plants are seedlings - only the females produce fruit, and no, we have no idea which is which. (You may want to get two).

This plant IS NOT LISTED on our most current availability list. (Printer friendly page generated on February 19, 2018.)
