Description

The outstanding feature of this bearberry is its consistently heavy crop of ornamental cranberry-red berries during the summer, fall and early winter. A low-grower with a height of 4-6". Introduced by Al Seneres at East Bay Regional Parks Botanic Garden from a selection made at Point St. George in Del Norte county. Uva ursi has been used medicinally to treat bladder and kidney infections.
