Description

A prostrate shrub to 8" tall, densely branched and wide spreading to about 4'. An excellent ground cover for filtered shade inland, or full sun on the coast. The white to pale pink flowers appear January to April. Light green, leaves are slightly downy when young, with attractive red margins. The berries are a shiny red. Huckelberry Manzanita does best with occasional summer irrigation, and can tolerate regular watering. It is a native to Inverness, in Marin County.
