Alnus rhombifolia - White Alder

Description

An extremely fast growing tree, to as much as 20' in five years with ample water. It is native to streamsides in most of California except on the immediate coast. Its mature height can be as much as 100' with a spread of 40'. Roots can be invasive and it should not be planted near sewer lines.
