Description

A very beautiful upright manzanita which grows from 5' - 8' tall. The flowers are a showy bright pink held in loose drooping panicles that are liberaly scattered over the shrub in January and February. It is found on dry serpentine ridges in Sonoma County near Camp Meeker and Occidental. Takes full sun and good drainage and tolerates some summer water. Recommended as being less susceptible to branch dieback than A. stanfordiana to which it is closely related.
