Description

This evergreen shrub grows 6' to 10' high and wide, with a neat appearance, glossy leaves, and reddish twigs. Its dense form makes a good screen, and its colorful pink buds form in the fall and are an asset throughout the winter months. They open into clusters of small white flowers between March and May. Drought resistant, Sugarbush likes hot sun, and dry conditions. It is native to the dry inland slopes of Southern California. It also can thrive in a shaded situation.
