Description

Gray foliage and a low spreading form make this perennial an attractive small-scale groundcover or border plant. Foliage is topped in summer with creamy white flowers about an inch across. Easy to grow in most gardens. This is a local native found on coastal bluffs with Iris, Monkeyflower, Sage, Seaside Daisy, and Yarrow. The Smith's Blue Butterfly relies on this plant and E. parvifolium as its only two food sources for their entire life cycle.
