Description

The Northern California Black Walnut is rare in nature. It occured in canyons and valleys in the Central Valley and Bay Area. It can grow to around 30-50 feet tall. A fast growing, spreading tree, it is a fantastic choice for ornamental, habitat restoration, or wildlife gardens. Jugulans hindsii is now only found in one small stand in Northern California. Used the world over as the rootstock for English Walnuts for its hearty nature.
