Description

This evergreen shrub has dense foliage and a compact form. The spring flowers are dark blue in 2-3" clusters. The flower buds are an attractive burgundy color. It has exhibited good tolerance of heavier soils and routine watering, as well as of summer drought. This selection was introduced by the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and was originally found in the wild on the coast of Ventura County.
