Description
This fast growing, drought, heat, and deer tolerant shrub is native from the southern edge of the state into Baja California. Lovely spikes of pink flowers appear from late spring into summer, and will often flower again if given a light pruning after the blooms have faded. The Dense-Flowered Mallow will reach about 6 feet tall and wide, and will remain a bushy, rounded shrub if it is given a hard pruning every late winter. Can creep underground to form a thicket. Combines well with native Sages, Ceanothus, and Deergrass.
