A few Clarkia blooms are beginning to show in our meadow here and there -- in this picture they are identifiable as little spots of pink. The Clarkia seem to be blooming later in our meadow than in other places around the garden.

Here you can see a patch of Clarkia amoena coming into bloom off the side of the meadow.

Turtle!
A special treat -- this turtle wandered through the garden last week, giving us a lovely photo-op. From the recently crusted algae on his/her shell, he/she appears to have only recently emerged from the water (where he/she spent a lot of time!).
